1. What is Virtual Domain Server Hosting ?

Tricon Interactive specializes in Virtual Domain Server Hosting which means that you can find a home for your web site on our active web server and establish a presence on the internet with a name of your choice. We will help register your own domain name to give you a unique address on the World Wide Web. In addition, you will never have to announce a new URL and email address if you ever change internet providers in the future.

2. Do you offer dial-up internet access ?

We only offer local access to users in San Diego. You can sign-up with any internet access provider worldwide, once you get on internet, you will be able to access our services.

5. Does Tricon handle domain registration ?

Yes, to reserve your company's name and take full advantage of a virtual domain site, we must fill out an application with the InterNIC association. Tricon will take care of all the necessary steps of the registration process for you.

6. What is the InterNIC fee for domain registration ?

After your domain name is registered the InterNIC association will bill your company directly $100 for two years of domain maintenance.

7. Is it possible to transfer my domain name to my own server in the future ?

Yes, you will be able to transfer your site to any server you like because you actually own your domain name. If at any time you decide to move your domain to another server provider, Tricon or your new provider can contact InterNIC to update the IP routing for you.

8. Can the domain name for my web site be used for E-mail addresses ?

Yes, we offer virtual email as a standard feature to all our clients, this service will allow you to send or receive email with your own domain name.

9. How do I transfer my own files to my website ?

To transfer files to the web server you must utilize File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client software. Some of the most popular FTP and HTML softwares can be downloaded free from sites like : www.sausage.com, www.cuteftp.com, www.shareware.com ......

10. Will I have unlimited access to update my pages ?

Yes, with a Tricon virtual domain package you will have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day to make any alterations on your site.

11. Can I resell space within my own account ?

No, Tricon's policy does not allow reselling of web space within your own domain.

12. What contract and payment terms are available ?

We offer our Virtual Domain package at quarterly increments thereby requiring a minimum 3 month contract. Quarterly payments must arrive by the 1st of each new quarter in order to ensure service will continue uninterrupted. Accounts not starting on the first of the month will be prorated accordingly. All payments should be in the form of money order or check.
